OUR DATA

Useful nutrition starts with a clear source.

CalorieCap organizes restaurant-published nutrition so people can compare meals. We do not estimate calories from photos or present our rankings as medical advice.
01

Source

Menu nutrition originates from information published by the restaurant, such as an official nutrition page, menu, or nutrition document. Restaurant names and trademarks remain the property of their owners; inclusion does not imply an endorsement.

02

Normalize

We organize titles, serving sizes, meal types, macros, and restaurant-listed allergens into a consistent catalog. A size or count remains a separate variant when its nutrition differs.

03

Check and review

Automated source checks and catalog review workflows look for published changes each week. Meal pages state that review cadence and link to an official source when one is available. A review does not guarantee that every restaurant location changed at the same time.

04

Explain

Guide filters use transparent numeric rules, such as “500 calories or fewer” or “at least 30g protein.” They are comparison tools, not “healthy” labels, prescriptions, or individualized dietary advice.
